Hellooooo!!  Can you believe this isn’t a post about Clients Favorite?  Where in the world have my daily blogging marathons gone?  Well, it’s been busy around here.  Quite frankly, busy is an understatement.    It’s been good, really great actually.  I just have had to set my priorities on what is most important and taking a major break on blogging just happened to make the top of the list!  Did you miss me?  Did you miss seeing an entire session on one blog?  I have had some of the most amazing sessions this Spring that I wish I could share them all, but it’s impossible.  So, what I am going to do over the next few months is blog every once in a while some of my favorites.  Yes, most are all my favorites but I will blog those that really hit the heart hard, made my soul awaken and overall was the kind of session I hope for every.single.time.  

This sweet family has been with me for well over a year.  We have had 5 sessions together.  So, by now they know my shooting style.  They really trust me.  And, they have no problems with just being themselves through out the entire session.  I hope that in every session that the babies, kiddos and parents, especially, really let go.  Once you scroll down this entire blog you will see what I am talking about.  My style is up close and personal.  My hope is that I am able to give back to all these wonderful families the gift of love.  They see it everyday.  They live it everyday.  They feel it everyday.  How awesome would it be to have an invisible photographer in our homes capturing us as we truly are, our kids at their happiest….THAT is my goal during a session.  Every session.  

Lately I have been asked this question :: “how do you work with children everyday?”.  There is a quote circling the web the past few days that is so very true “if you do what you truly love, you will never work a day in your life”.  I absolutely love children.  I am a mom.  I know they have their “moments”.  It takes patience & understanding.  I give them their space and I figure out what it is that makes them come alive.  Sometimes it takes me 2 minutes, where other times it takes me 20.  I am okay with either.  I love it.  I love hearing giggles, seeing big honest smiles and I love getting hugs at the very end.   And, truth be told…if I am going to be away from my sweet family, I am going to do what I love with those that I love and DO IT WELL! (thank you Steve Jobs for that)

So, I better stop now before this blog becomes a book!  I can’t wait to see what my next blog will be…I haven’t narrowed it down just yet!  I do know that clients favorite for May will be going up pretty soon!  And, before I forget… we are heading to the BEACH in a week and guess what …I will be unplugged for those entire 7 days.  No work, no phone calls, no emails.  Really excited about that!  And, if you were thinking of booking something in the Fall just another heads up (because I have posted it on my facebook page three times already) I have just a handful of Saturday’s left in September.  However, I have a few weekday spots available all months.  I hope to hear from you soon because I plan to close the books soon and start booking SPRING 2013.  Holy cow that is crazy.
